Terms of use.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Kairosols IT Services Private Limited ("Kairosols", "we", "our", "us") is a company incorporated in India. Registered office: May Flower Heights, Opp. Noma Function Hall, Mallapur, Hyderabad, Telangana 500 076, India. Email info@kairosols.com.

These terms govern your use of kairosols.com (the "Site"), including the free website security check at /security-check/ (the "Check"), the results and share links it produces, and the downloadable report (the "Report"). By using the Site or the Check you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. Our professional services (penetration testing, security assessments, AI security and consulting) are provided under a separate proposal or agreement, which prevails over these terms for that work.

2. Using the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You must not interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to the systems behind it, scrape it in volume, or use it to send unsolicited messages. We may suspend or block access that we reasonably consider abusive.

3. The free website security check

What it does. The Check observes a website the way a visitor's browser does: it requests a small number of public web addresses (the home page, a handful of well-known paths such as /.well-known/security.txt, /.git/HEAD and /.env, and a short list of common administrative paths), reads the responses and response headers, performs public DNS and certificate-transparency look-ups, and tests which TLS versions the site accepts. It does not log in, submit forms, guess passwords, send attack payloads, or interfere with any system. The whole Check involves roughly twenty ordinary requests and finishes within about thirty seconds.

Permission. You may run the Check only on a website that you own, operate, or are authorised to have checked. By ticking the confirmation box you represent and warrant that this is the case. You are responsible for any claim arising from a Check you run without that permission.

Results, share links and the Report. The Check produces a grade and a list of observations ("Results"). Results are stored for 90 days so that share links work; details that could help an attacker are shown only to the person who ran the Check. If you ask for the Report by email, we store your email address and send you a private download link, and we may contact you once about the Results; see the privacy policy. Share links are public to anyone who has the link.

Limits. We may limit how many Checks a person or network may run, refuse Checks of particular domains, and change or withdraw the Check at any time without notice.

4. The Results are indicative. No warranty.

The Check is an automated, passive observation of publicly reachable parts of a website at one moment in time. It is not a penetration test, a vulnerability assessment, a security audit, or a certification of any kind, and it cannot see behind a login or inside an application. A high grade does not mean a website is secure; a low grade does not mean it has been or will be breached. Results may be incomplete or wrong, including because a firewall, cache or content-delivery network answered instead of the website, or because the website changed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site, the Check, the Results and the Report are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty or condition of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. Nothing on the Site is legal, regulatory or professional advice, and you should not rely on the Results as the sole basis for any decision.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kairosols, its directors, employees and contractors shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Site, the Check, the Results or the Report, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, including any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business, the cost of substitute services, any decision made or not made in reliance on the Results, or any effect of the Check's requests on a website. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Site, the Check, the Results and the Report shall not exceed one thousand Indian rupees (INR 1,000). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

6. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Kairosols and its directors, employees and contractors from and against all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your running the Check on a website you did not own or were not authorised to have checked, (b) your use of the Results or the Report, (c) your breach of these terms, or (d) your violation of any law or of any third party's rights.

7. Acceptable use of the Check

You must not use the Check to target websites you are not authorised to check, to harass or defame any person or organisation, to build or publish rankings or comparisons of named third parties without their consent, to circumvent our rate limits, or as part of any attack, reconnaissance for an attack, or unlawful activity. We may report unlawful use to the appropriate authorities.

8. Our scanning policy and how to opt out

We run the same passive Check ourselves, in small numbers, when researching companies we intend to contact. Those Checks are identical to a browser visit in their effect: public addresses only, nothing attacked, nothing stored beyond the Results. Every request identifies itself with the user-agent KairoSols-SecurityCheck and a link to this policy, and comes from our server's address. We never publish Results for a named organisation, and we delete a Result on request.

If you would rather we never checked your domain, email info@kairosols.com with the domain name. We add it to our exclusion list within two business days, after which the Check refuses that domain for everyone, including us.

9. Intellectual property

The Site, the Check, the Report format and all content, code, design, text and images on the Site are owned by Kairosols or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the Results and the Report for your own website's security and share them with your own developers, hosts, auditors and customers. You may not resell them, present them as your own assessment, or remove our name from them. "KairoSols" and the KairoSols logo are our marks.

10. Links and third-party services

The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Share links posted to LinkedIn, WhatsApp, X or elsewhere are subject to those services' terms.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal information, including the website addresses you check and the email address you give us for the Report, is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site or the Check after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-excludable right you have to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms, the Site, the Check, the Results or the Report. If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the rest remain in effect.
